Most new knitters complain that they don’t know
how to read knitting patterns. They’re just a
bunch of gobbledygook and abbreviations!
Reading a pattern is a lot like reading a
recipe. We all learned “recipe speak,” and we
can learn “pattern speak” too. |
| |
You should be a knitter who has tried to
work with patterns. |
Supplies:

˝ a skein or so of worsted weight
yarn and appropriate needles if you'd

| This class presents the option of knitting a
sweater from the top down. There is very little
finishing with this technique. Beginning
knitters can successfully complete this class.
We will start at the collar, increase along a
raglan line, finish the sleeves, and then
complete the body of the sweater. All bands and
buttonholes are knit as we go!
You will be on your own finishing most of the
sweater, but I will be available by phone, or in
person before or after other classes to assist. |
|
You will receive
handouts for a hooded sweater option, and
instructions on how to resize, as well as
patterns for an American Girl or Barbie doll.
